Macon County Sheriff's Office Notices

Due to the recent COVID-19 Coronavirus the Macon County Sheriff's Office Records lobby will be closed to the general public until further notice.

Until Further notice, to add money to an inmate's commissary account, you must visit
www.jailatm.com and follow the instructions on that site.  Money for these transactions will not be accepted in person for the immediate future.

To bond an inmate out in person, as before, report to the Law Enforcement Center at 333 South Franklin St. in Decatur.  Upon arrival, call the Macon County Sheriff's Office Command Desk at (217) 424-1319 or (217) 424-1320.  An on duty officer will meet you at the first floor lobby door and direct you where to report from there.  This change is made due to the first floor lobby being closed.  There are signs posted outside the first floor lobby door indicating this procedure.
