The Macon County Sheriff's Office Records Department is responsible in maintaining all Macon County Sheriff's records. The records department has a staff of 8 full time employees.

Background Check: (217) 424-1323
Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Fingerprints are done from 9:00am to 11:00am or from 1:30pm to 3:00pm.

Some of our records/services fees are as follows:

Accident reports: $5.00
Fingerprinting: $15.00 for up to 2 sets, then $10.00 for each additional set. (Only during regular fingerprint times)
Serving of Civil Papers: $35.00 and $1.00 per mileage
Serving of Judgment Order / Eviction Order: $50.00 nonrefundable
